Laïla von Alvensleben splits her time between leading the People Ops at MURAL and facilitating online workshops on remote collaboration.
Her experience in distributed teams has been key in bringing a "remote first" approach and culture within MURAL's teams. She's covered extensive research on Remote Design Thinking and helped create the Remote Starter Kit.
She's also a founding member of the Remote Work Association, a network that organizes online roundtable events to discuss and learn about how to promote location-independent jobs.
Embracing imperfection: How Mural created a remote People Ops team from scratch
What you will learn in this session:
In this session, you will learn from a remote work expert who has often worked in remote agile teams in which agile is so integrated that they do not even refer to their way of working as agile; to them it's just work!
You will hear from Laïla about the process of building a company culture in a fast-growing startup with a distributed team, the challenges of remote leadership, and how being agile has helped her People Ops team create a better employee experience.
